华侨大学创办于1960年,直属中央统战部领导,是中央统战部、教育部与福建省共建的综合性大学,是国家华文教育基地,国家大学生文化素质教育基地,国家语言文字推广基地,国家语言服务领域特色服务出口基地,全国深化创新创业教育改革示范高校,全国高校教师考核评价改革示范校,全国高校中华优秀传统文化传承基地。国家领导人廖承志、叶飞亲自担任首任、次任校长。现任党委书记徐西鹏,校长吴剑平。
beat365官方网站成立于2004年,其前身华侨大学旅游系(创建于1984年)是教育部最早批准成立的全国八所旅游高等院校之一,是全国MTA教指委委员单位、“中国旅游名校T10联盟”成员单位、中国旅游协会旅游教育分会副会长单位,也是国内第一家直接向海外招收旅游管理类本科生、硕士生、博士生的旅游院校。华侨大学旅游休闲管理学科位列软科世界一流学科名录。建院三十多年来,共培养海内外各类人才6000多人,其中境外学生600余人。学院现有在校生近1200人,其中研究生130余人,境外生310余人,少数民族学生80多人。现任院长为谢朝武教授,党委书记为许国玺,副院长为叶新才、张慧。
学院拥有博士、硕士、本科完整的学历人才培养体系,现有1个博士点(旅游管理)、2个硕士点(旅游管理、旅游管理专业学位硕士MTA)、4个本科专业(旅游管理、酒店管理、会展经济与管理、人文地理与城乡规划)。其中旅游管理博士点为原全国四家独立二级学科博士点之一;旅游管理本科专业为国家级特色专业、国家一流本科专业建设点、福建省高等学校创新创业教育改革试点专业;酒店管理专业为国家一流本科专业建设点、福建省高等学校服务产业特色专业;会展经济与管理专业为省级一流本科专业建设点。2022年,学院四个本科专业全部通过联合国世界旅游组织教育质量认证,且为认证等级最高的4年期认证,是国内旅游高等院校首次认证最好成绩之一。
学院师资力量雄厚,现有教职工58人,其中专任教师39人,正副教授31人,33人拥有博士学位。学院多名教师兼任国内重要的社会和学术职务,曾担任全国旅游管理专业学位研究生教育指导委员会委员、教育部高职高专旅游管理类专业教学指导委员会主任、全国餐饮行业教育教学指导委员会委员、中国旅游协会旅游教育分会副会长、中国医学救援协会旅游救援分会副会长、中国地理学会旅游地理专业委员会委员、中国资源学院旅游资源研究专业委员会委员、中国地理学会农业地理与乡村发展专业委员会委员、中国烹饪协会理事、福建省旅游协会副会长等重要职务。学院拥有文化和旅游部优秀专家、原国家旅游局旅游业青年专家、福建省高校新世纪优秀人才、福建省高校杰出青年科研人才等各类人才7人次。
学院校外教师队伍体系丰富。特聘中国工程院院士范维澄教授担任名誉教授,先后敦聘国务院学位委员会工商管理学科评议组成员高闯教授、高良谋教授担任特聘教授,敦聘戴斌(中国旅游研究院院长、肖洪根(香港理工大学酒店及旅游业管理学院博导)、吴必虎(国际旅游研究院院士)、张凌云(《旅游学刊》主编、张健中(澳门中旅酒店管理有限公司总经理)、姚军(华侨城集团总经理)任兼职教授。先后聘任40多名政、产、学、研领域的专家学者担任研究生实践导师。
学院拥有国内领先的教学科研条件。现有国家级旅游实验教学示范中心、国家级旅游虚拟仿真教学示范中心等国家级实验教学平台,在境内外建有30多个实习实践基地。拥有中国旅游研究院旅游安全研究基地、福建省高校人文社科研究基地、福建省高校特色新型智库、福建省智慧旅游示范基地(研究型)等4个省部级研究平台及9个校院科研机构。学院与泉州文化广电和旅游局共建“泉州文旅经济研究基地”,并与各级旅游部门、产业机构建立了广泛的战略合作关系。
学院拥有雄厚的社会服务能力。学院长期为国家、省、市、县提供旅游立法咨询、政策研究、标准编制、规划设计、产业辅导和行业培训等高层次智力服务工作,各类项目共计400多项。学院参与了《中华人民共和国旅游法》《旅游安全管理办法》》等法律法规的基础研究工作,参与了《福建省观光工厂建设与服务规范》《智慧景区等级划分与评定》(DB35/T1716-2017)及《智慧饭店等级划分与评定》(DB35/T1715-2017)等标准的编制工作。自2012年以来,承担了旅游安全蓝皮书《中国旅游安全报告》的编辑出版工作。先后选派多名教师挂职担任福建武夷山、宁德、仙游、泰宁、湄洲岛、平潭国际旅游岛等重要旅游地的旅游分管领导。
学院与中国旅游研究院签订战略合作协议,在学科建设、学术交流、培养研究生等方面开展了深度合作。学院重视国际化发展,与香港理工大学、澳门beat365官方网站及中国台湾多所高校有着深入的合作。学院与美国中佛罗里达州立大学、俄克拉荷马州立大学、关岛大学、英国萨里大学、泰国博仁大学、庄甲盛·叻嚓帕大学等高校建立了教学科研合作、学分交换、实习生交换等不同类型的合作机制。
学院重视“全人教育”,大力开展专业实践及“第二课堂”活动。学院在30多家旅游企业集团、高星级酒店、高水平旅游景区、智慧旅游平台等建有校外实习实践基地。学院还搭建了集学术知识讲授、成长体验分享、实践竞技比拼等多位一体的文化教育活动体系,学生可以广泛的参与创新创业、科创竞赛、学科竞赛等各类成长计划。

Huaqiao University (HQU) is a comprehensive university, directly under the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China and jointly supervised by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the People’s Republic of China and the Fujian Provincial People's Government. It is the National Base for Chinese Language Teaching, the National Base for Cultural Quality Education of College Students, the National Demonstration University for Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform and the National Demonstration University for Teacher Evaluation Reform, an export base for characteristic services in the field of language services, and a national base for the inheritance of Chinese excellent traditional culture in universities. Liao Chengzhi and Ye Fei, the former national leaders, personally served as the first and second principals. The current Chair of the University Council is Xu Xipeng, and the President is Wu Jianping.
College of Tourism was established in 2004. Its predecessor, the Department of Tourism of Huaqiao University (founded in 1984), was one of the eight tourism colleges and universities that was first approved by the Ministry of Education in China. As a member unit of T10 Alliance of Famous Tourism Schools of China and the vice-chairman unit of the Tourism Education Branch of the China Tourism Association, it is the first tourism academy which is qualified to recruit overseas undergraduates, masters and doctoral students majoring in tourism in China. The Tourism and Leisure Management discipline of Huaqiao University was listed in the world-class disciplines of ShanghaiRanking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities in 2022. Since its establishment more than 30 years ago, the college has cultivated more than 6,000 talents for various sectors at home and abroad, including more than 600 overseas students. Currently, there are nearly 1,200 students, including more than 130 graduate students, 310 overseas students, and 80 ethnic minority students in the College of Tourism. The current dean is XieChaowu, the Chair of College Council is Xu Guoxi, and the vice deans are Ye Xincai and Zhang Hui.
The college has a complete education system for doctoral, master’s and undergraduate degrees, with 1 doctoral program (tourism management), 2 master’s programs (tourism management, tourism management professional master degree MTA) and 4 undergraduate programs (tourism management, hotel management, exhibition economy and management, human geography and urban-rural planning). Specifically, the doctoral program of tourism management is one of the original four independent second-level discipline doctoral programs in China; the undergraduate program of tourism management is a national-level characteristic discipline, a national first-class undergraduate program construction base, and a pilot program for the reforming of innovation and entrepreneurship education in Fujian; the hotel management program is a national first-class undergraduate program construction base and a service industry characteristic discipline in Fujian; the exhibition economics and management program is a provincial first-class undergraduate program construction base. In 2022, the four college undergraduate majors have passed the professional quality certification of the United World Tourism Organization, and obtained the maximum certification period of 4 years.
The college has a faculty of 58 members, including 39 full-time teachers, 31 professors and associate professors with doctoral degrees. Many teachers of the college hold important social and academic posts in China, such as the member of the National Tourism Management Professional Degree Graduate Education Steering Committee, the Director of the Tourism Management Professional Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, and member of the National Catering Industry Education and Teaching Steering Committee, Vice-chairman of Tourism Education Branch of China Tourism Association, Vice-chairman of Tourism Rescue Branch of China Medical Rescue Association, member of Tourism Geography Professional Committee of China Geographic Society, member of Tourism Resources Research Professional Committee of China Resources Institute, member of Agricultural Geography and Rural Development Professional Committee of China Geographic Society, the board of China Cuisine Association, Vice-chairman of Fujian Tourism Association etc. Additionally, 7 talents from various fields has joined the College of Tourism, including outstanding experts from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, former young experts from National Tourism Administration, new century talents in Fujian universities, and outstanding young scientific research talents in Fujian universities.
The college has recruited quantities of experienced off-campus teachers. Prof. Fan Weicheng, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, was appointed as an honorary professor. The college successively hired Prof. Gao Chuang and Prof. Gao Liangmou, members of the Business Administration Appraisal Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, as distinguished professors, and Dai Bin (Chairman of China Tourism Academy), Xiao Honggen (Ph.D. Supervisor, School of Hotel and Tourism Management, Hong Kong Polytechnic University), Wu Bihu (Academician of International Tourism Academy), Zhang Lingyun (Editor-in-chief of Journal of Tourism), Zhang Jianzhong (General Manager of Macau CTS Hotel Management Co., Ltd.) and Yao Jun (General Manager of OCT Group) as part-time professors. More than 40 experts and scholars in politics, industry, academia, and research have been postgraduate practical tutors in the college.
The college is equipped with domestic leading teaching and research conditions There are national-level experimental teaching platforms such as the National Tourism Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, the National Tourism Virtual Simulation Teaching Demonstration Center, and more than 30 internship bases at home and abroad. It has 4 provincial and ministerial research platforms and 9 academic research platforms including Tourism Safety and Security Research Base of China Tourism Research Institute, Humanities and Social Sciences Research Base of Fujian Universities, Characteristic New Think Tank of Fujian Universities, and Fujian Provincial Smart Tourism Demonstration Base (research-based). The college has jointly established the Quanzhou Culture and Tourism Economic Research Base with,Quanzhou Culture, Television and Tourism Administration, and forged comprehensive strategic cooperative relations with tourism departments and industrial institutions.
The college focuses on its social service capabilities. The college has constantly provided high-level intellectual services such as tourism legislative consultation, policy research, standard formulation, planning and design, industry counseling and industry training for the society, with a total of more than 400 projects. Professors in the college has participated in the primary research work of laws and regulations such as the "Tourism Law of the People's Republic of China" and "Tourism Safety Management Measures", and participated in editing the "Fujian Provincial Tourism Factory Construction and Service Specifications" and "Smart Scenic Spot Classification and Evaluation" (DB35/T1716- 2017) and the preparation of standards such as "Classification and Evaluation of Smart Hotels" (DB35/T1715-2017). Since 2012, the college has undertaken the editing and publication of the tourism safety blue book "China Tourism Safety Report". A number of teachers has been appointed to serve as the government officials in important tourist destinations such as Wuyishan, Ningde, Xianyou, Taining, Meizhou Island, and Pingtan International Tourism Island in Fujian.
The college has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the China Tourism Academy, and carried out in-depth cooperation in discipline construction, academic exchanges, and graduate student education. It attaches great importance to international development and has in-depth cooperation with Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Macao Institute for Tourism Studies and many universities in Taiwan, China. In addition, it has established different cooperation mechanism of teaching and research cooperation, credit exchange, and intern exchange with universities such as Central Florida State University, Oklahoma State University, University of Guam, University of Surrey, Thailand, Boren University, and ChuangjiashengRatchapak University.
The college attaches great importance to "all-round education" and vigorously carries out professional practice and "second classroom" activities. here are more than 30 off-campus internship center in tourism enterprise groups, high-star hotels, high-level tourist attractions, and smart tourism platforms. It has also constructed a cultural and educational activity system that integrates academic knowledge teaching, growth experience sharing, and practical competitions. Students can participate in innovation and entrepreneurship, science and technology competitions, and discipline competitions that benefits their development.
